Production process and advantages

Ultra-thin strip casting technology (e.g. Castrip®) casts and rolls steel directly into 0.8~1.5mm thin strips, saving 95% energy and emitting 85% CO₂ compared to the process. Mass production has been realized at the Huamei production line in Zhangjiagang, China, and applications have been expanded to include battery panels for new energy vehicles.

The group of Oriented Electrical Steel Ultra-thin and Very Thin Strips (T/SSEA 0175-2022) fills the gap of 0.02~0.10mm thickness specification and promotes the lightweighting of high-frequency electromagnetic equipments (e.g. transformers).
